The internet has gone into a lather over the current Whistler Blackcomb snow forecast. For good reason. Those snowfall figures are looking epic with over 170 centimetres of snow set to fall between now and the weekend and over 3 metres forecast through to next week.
While the USA has been basking in early season powder glory across Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Montana and California (and even the east coast) parts of Canada have been feeling unloved by almighty Ullr.
Whistler has had a less than stellar start, though 135 centimetres thus far this season isn’t to be sneezed at. But the folks at Whistler are used to big numbers with mega dumps from long storms.
Welcome to 2018/2019 season, Whistler, as Ullr is gifting you with the goods in time for Christmas.
The folks at OpenSnow are calling for up to 3.4 metres over the next 10 days.
The folks at Snow-Forecast.com are calling for 254 centimetres at 1480 metres above sea level (Whistler peak elevation is 2182 metres and Blackcomb is 2436 metres).
Check out their forecast for 2284 metre elevation.
