We all know that Vail Resorts acquired Australia’s largest resort, Perisher, this time last year and caused quite a stir in the process. The biggest benefiters from this sale has so far been the skier and boarder who either already loves skiing in the USA or has dreamt about the idea for years.
Why? Because with the Perisher acquisition came the Epic Australia Pass, a unique offering for Australian skiers and boarders only.
The year round season pass gives holders unlimited skiing at Perisher during the southern season and unlimited skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood during the northern season. But wait, like all offerings from Vail Resorts, there is always more.
Ten combined days of skiing at Beaver Creek and Vail, two of the USA’s most coveted resorts. Hit up Vail’s back bowls and Beaver Creek’s famed super groomers.
Of course if you ski Perisher with the Epic Australia Pass there are a host of other benefits including 15% off at Perisher food and beverage outlets, 15% off at Slopestyle Mountain Sports if you spend $20 or more, free first tracks at 7.30am on Sundays in July and August at the Ridge Quad Chairlift, free night skiing and boarding and accommodation at The Station from only AU$79 per night.
Even better is the price. We’re not sure how they do it but they certainly offer big value for Australian dollars with the AU$899 price tag for the Epic Australia Pass. If you’re over 65 then it’s only AU$599 and if you’re lucky enough to still be in your youthful years then it’s AU$499.
