Red’s new ski in ski out The Josie Hotel opens in November

Red Mountain sits on Canada’s famed British Columbia powder highway and is a secret gem for those who like their mountains steep and deep with no lift lines. Just don’t tell anyone.

The ski town of Rossland will secure its position on the ski map with a new hotel this winter. The resort’s Josie Hotel is catering for the high end traveller who likes a little boutique hotel style with their skiing and snowboarding.

The Josie Hotel (known as The Josie) will open their designer doors on November 28 with a prime ski in ski out location and 106 one bedroom suites, guest rooms and studios. Expect nine one-bedroom suites, 14 studio suites, 30 guest rooms with two queen beds and 53 guest rooms with one king bed.

The hotel will boast a full service dining establishment (we call that a restaurant) with local produce from nearby farmers, regional producers and vineyards. Cuisine at The Velvet Restaurant and Lounge will have a subtle French influence and options for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free devotees.

A ski hotel is not a ski hotel without a spa and The Josie launches with an intimate spa for massage and rejuvenation and a gym to reduce the lactic thigh burn. The hotel will reveal an outdoor mountainside pool in 2019.

The Josie is from Noble House Hotels and Resorts, the names behind Teton Mountain Lodge and Hotel Terra in Jackson Hole. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington and continuously growing, Noble House owns and manages an upscale portfolio of 18 distinct and visually captivating hotel properties, over 50 hotel restaurants, bars and lounges, the Napa Valley Wine Train, and a collection of spas, marinas, and private residences spanning the U.S. and Canada.
