Steamboat and Winter Park announce international ski passes

Intrawest Colorado resorts, Steamboat and Winter Park, have unveiled a new Mid-Winter pass and announced other pass options perfect for international guests looking to discover more of Colorado while getting the most out of their holiday investment during the 2016/17 ski and snowboard season.

“These passes appeal to our long-stay guests who are looking to discover two genuine and authentic Colorado ski resorts while making their holiday investment go farther over a variety of travel periods,” said Katie Brown, vice president of sales and marketing for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp.

“With savings from these pass options, plus the best guest service in the industry and boatloads of Champagne Powder® snow, international guests have plenty of reason to visit the Colorado Rocky Mountains.”

New for the upcoming 2016/17 winter season, the Mid-Winter pass provides unlimited skiing and riding at Steamboat and Winter Park resorts from January 1, 2017 through February 17, 2017 for US$600 for adults (13+) and US$431 for children (6-12). The savings are even better with a FREE child pass per each adult Mid-Winter pass purchase. This pass coincides with several international school holidays.

Valid the entire season, the Route 40 10/10 International Pass features 10 days of skiing and riding at Steamboat and 10 days at Winter Park with qualifying lodging purchase. The Routt 40 10/10 Pass is ideal for 10- to 14-night, multiple resort ski safari maximizing guests’ time on the slopes. This pass is available at last year’s rates, US$520 for adults (13+) and US$374 for children (6-12); and new this year, Kids Ski Free (one free pass per adult purchase) is now included.

“Both resorts have more than enough terrain, lodging, activities and dining for a single resort holiday,” said Jenny O’Farrell, international sales manager for Steamboat and Intrawest. “However, these passes are perfect for our international guests looking to explore multiple destinations during their Colorado snow trip.”

Both international pass programs are available only through the resorts’ international ski specialist partners, www.steamboat.com/steamboatexpert. Passes are non-transferable, must be booked at least 14 days in advance of guest arrival and can be collected at either Steamboat or Winter Park Resort. In addition, a free shuttle will run between Winter Park and Steamboat on most Thursdays from December 8, 2016 through April 6, 2017 (additional requirements apply).
