What are your snow season resolutions?

    This snow season we want to do things differently but we don’t like our chances. We blame the excitement, it gets us every time. But if we could we’d stick to these thirteen snow season resolutions that are bound to be broken in the first week.

    1. No apres drinks until the last night.
    2. Get first lift each morning so as to ski longer and harder each day. This will not happen on account of number one being broken on the first night.
    3. Warm up and stretch each morning – This will also not happen on account of number one being broken on the first night.
    4. No Jaigie bombs – see number one.
    5. No shouting the bar – see number four.
    6. Never buy bottled water – on account of number one, four and five this will be broken by the time we make it to the chairlift.
    7. Do not go to the Keller, the Man, the General, the Kooroora, ever, not once, ok just once, but don’t stay long, ok closing time isn’t long, all right put your name on the door but use a pseudonym.
    8. Stick to budget. See all of the above.
    9. Make the most of your lift pass and ski in rain, hail or shine. At the first sign of rain retire early for one hot chocolate spiked with liquor that turns into apres drinks, Jaigie bombs and shouting the bar.
    10. Play nicely with the other children except the lift queue Nazi with a sense of entitlement, a GoPro and a Spyder race suit then accept they have forced you to break the resolution and play dirty.
    11. Wash ski socks and Skins in the sink each evening and hang to dry. On the third day of wearing the same pairs resolve to buy more talcum powder instead.
