Thredbo’s on-mountain experiences just got bigger and better for 2022 with new adventures announced today including a swanky supper club and discovery tours to add to the already stellar lineup.
Fresh Tracks first up
On Tuesday mornings, guests can experience the feeling of fresh tracks as part of Thredbo’s Sunrise Sessions presented by Land Rover. Leaving the village before dawn, guests are transported via snowcat to Australia’s highest lifted point to watch the sunrise over the Snowy Mountains.
Nice one.
Then follow it up with breakfast at Australia’s highest restaurant Eagles Nest, accompanied by a G.H.Mumm mimosa before scoring first tracks down Supertrail, Australia’s longest run. Guests must be at least an upper-intermediate skier or snowboarder to ride Supertrail and over 16 years old. Sunrise Sessions will run on select Tuesdays from 26 July to 6 September. Sign us up!
A Mountain-Top Bavarian Feast
Merritts Mountain Haus Feasts are a great way to spend a special evening in Thredbo for everyone from families to couples. Guests start the night by riding the Merritts Gondola under the stars to Merritts Mountain House with adults being greeted with a Glühwein on arrival.
Dinner is a Bavarian-inspired feast that will leave even the hungriest diners satisfied. The ride down is unforgettable as guests take in views of Thredbo Village sparkling below as they travel in the cosy gondola. Merritts Mountain Haus Feasts will run on select Fridays from 17 June to 26 August.
The Ultimate Kareela Snowcat Dinners
Dining is taken to new heights with Thredbo’s Kareela Snowcat Dinners presented by G.H.Mumm. Guests travel in style to the iconic Kareela Hutte on-mountain restaurant via passenger snowcat, before indulging in a four-course dinner and wine experience overlooking the lights of Thredbo Village.
These will be held on select Wednesdays from 13 July to 7 September.
A New Peak With Kareela Supper Club
New in 2022, Thredbo’s Kareela Supper Club presented by G.H.Mumm. A Saturday night experience that starts with guests travelling up the Merritts Gondola before being transported to the iconic Kareela Hutte via passenger snowcat.
The rest of the night is full of delicious canapés and champagne whilst watching the Flare Run and Fireworks Spectacular from the Kareela Hutte deck. These over 18 years dining experiences will be held on select Saturday nights from 9 July to 3 September.
The Best Kept Secrets of Thredbo with a Discovery Tour
Also new for 2022, Discovery Tours presented by Land Rover are a chance for guests to enjoy an exclusive guided skiing or snowboarding tour of Thredbo. This is the best way to uncover the best-kept secrets of Thredbo’s mountain, learn all about Thredbo’s iconic history and discover, first-hand why Thredbo has been voted Australia’s Best Ski Resort for five years’ running with an expert guide at the helm.
Discovery Tours will run daily for 3-hours from 2 July, with a maximum of 3 guests per tour. Guests, who must be intermediate to advanced level skiers or snowboarders, are treated to lift-queue priority, a professional, knowledgeable guide on all things Thredbo and a mid-morning stop at an on-mountain venue for complimentary hot beverage and morning tea.
G.H.Mumm Long Lunch Kicking Off A Big Season
Thredbo’s prestigious G.H.Mumm Long Lunch will herald in the season in style before launching into a stacked season full of all the après favourites; the Vintage Après Ski Soirée series presented by Canadian Club, First Base; Heineken Saturdays in the Alpine Bar; DJ sets on the Merritts Mountain House deck; and solo live music sets in Lounge Bar.
