Lake Crackenback Resort launch girls weekends.
The latest trend hitting the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales is weekends away – just for the girls.
Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa general manager Anthony Cleary said there has been an increase in the number of girls weekends being booked at the resort.
“It’s quite usual for us to see a group of men come and stay for a weekend of hard-core mountain biking or fly-fishing, but over the past 12 months, we’ve noticed that more women are getting together for a weekend away.”
“Some come for a non-traditional hens weekend of pampering with spa treatments and great food and wine. Others are making a pilgrimage to escape the pressures of work and family and just spend time in nature and relaxing with their dearest girlfriends,”
To meet this new demand, Lake Crackenback Resort and Spa has released a special two-night Girls Getaway package which includes all of the trappings of a great resort weekend away with wine, cheese, spa treatments and meals as well as a shopping-fix at one of Australia’s most popular online fashion retailers, Birdsnest which has its headquarters and store in nearby Cooma.
The Girls Getaway includes two nights accommodation, daily hot buffet breakfast, sparkling wine and a cheese platter in your room on arrival, a two course lunch or dinner at either the Alpine Larder or Cuisine Restaurant, a $50 Birdsnest shopping voucher to use either instore at Cooma (on the way to or from Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa) or online at birdsnest.com.au, a 30-minute back, neck and scalp massage at the Lake Crackenback Spa & Wellness Centre plus a Rustic Hyde gift bag containing some luscious hand and body custard, natural lip balm and soap.
The Girls Getaway Weekends start from $426 per person (based on four people sharing a two-bedroom Lakeview Apartment). Bookings can be made by calling Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa on 1800 020 524 or 02 6451 3000 or visiting www.lakecrackenback.com.au.
