The Snowy Mountains region will again enter lockdown after new cases of Covid-19 in the Snowy Monaro LGA.
This means that Perisher, which until now has remained open during the recent lockdown lift, will close for the next seven days.
The stay at home orders will be introduced from 3pm today for a week and will apply to anyone that has been in the Snowy Monaro LGA since Wednesday September 22.
Thredbo closed for the season last Sunday and Charlotte Pass is also now closed.
It is unlikely Perisher will reopen as the resort’s official closing date for the season was October 4.
Venues of concern are listed here, including Merritts Mountain House, Woolworths Jindabyne and Lake Jindabyne Hotel on different dates and hours found here.
More to come.
