Did we mention that it is December, summer, and Australia has been experiencing some of the hottest days on weather record with temperatures in the high forties?
Oh, and in case you hadn’t heard, there are bushfires, a lot of them (4 million hectares of Australia burnt already this season).
Meanwhile this month we’ve also seen snow in the Australian alps with over a foot of snow at resorts just a couple of weeks ago. This crazy weather has made for crazy skiing and snowboarding in a country known for white hot sand beaches.
Steve Maxwell from Wildman Productions made the most of the wild weather in the first two weeks of December and created this edit of his snowboarding escapades.
Meanwhile Jake Simms and Erryn Reeder went snowboarding in Australia’s backcountry just last weekend and got themselves some “interesting” lines in a chute known as Elevator in the New South Wales ranges.
Now that’s one way to celebrate Christmas!
