In huge news overnight, POWDR corporation are undertaking a major sell off of numerous ski resorts. The company is selling Killington and Pico (both in Vermont) to local investors while maintaining a minority ownership as reported by Storm Skiing Journal.

They intend to keep Snowbird in Utah, Copper in Colorado and the Woodward brand. However both SilverStar Mountain Resort in British Columbia, Canada and Mt Bachelor in Oregon USA are on the market.

SilverStar, formerly owned by Australian Jane Cann, was bought by POWDR in 2019, pre-Covid. Now JP Morgan will be managing the sale of the mountain as it officially goes on the market alongside both Mt Bachelor in Oregon and Eldora in Colorado.

“We do not expect any changes to products, roles, and operations at SilverStar for the 24/25 winter season,” said a SilverStar spokesperson. “We will continue to conduct business as usual as we work to finish off the summer biking season and open the resort for skiing and riding in November, 2024.”
