What a milestone day for Selwyn Snow Resort in Australia’s Snowy Mountains and we couldn’t be happier for the boutique resort.

The New South Wales based ski field opened their Race Course T-Bar for the first time in five years today, giving skiers and boarders access to the resort’s only black runs – Racecourse, Gallah’s Gully and Pig Gully.

It’s been a long time coming for Selwyn who burnt to the ground in the 2020 bushfires and were unable to open after a rebuild in 2022 after too much pre-season snow.

Then, when they did open in 2023, they were forced to close early in August due to lack of snow.

The family friendly Selwyn Snow Resort is owned by the Blyton family who also helm their sister resort, Charlotte Pass, which was also struck by fire this year in a run of serious back luck. This time in the sewage treatment plant which forced the resort to open late for 2024 on July 5.

Finally, everyone can take a moment and celebrate the proud Selwyn Snow Resort moment today with the opening of Selwyn’s advanced terrain. Word is that locals and riders at the resort are stoked.

Selwyn is a vital part of the Australian ski industry, and has been since 1966. The resort is often the first snow experience for families and young kids, giving them a love of snow for life.
