Looking to squeeze more value out of your next snow trip to Thredbo? Look no further.

Thredbo, voted Australia’s Best Ski Resort in the World Ski Awards for seven years running (and Australia’s Best Ski Resort For Families in 2023 by Out And About With Kids), has delivered for the upcoming season, with fun adventures on offer for every skier and boarder.

Here are four hacks that will have you saving your dollars at every turn.

1. Ski and snowboard in value season – up to 50% off!

If you want to save on lift passes, opt for skiing during Value Season, which runs at the beginning of the season (June 8 through to June 28) or at the tail end of the season (September 9 to October 7).

You’ll nab up to 50% off on lift passes for kids, and up to 30% for adults on three to five-day mid-week lift passes.

That means kids over five ski from just $44 per day… not bad, not bad.

Plus you get the perks of short lift lines, quiet slopes and those beautiful early winter or spring skiing days.

2. Keep checking the Special Deals page for last-minute deals

You never know when a good opportunity might pop up, so we suggest bookmarking this Special Deals page for those days when you might be procrastinating at work, dreaming of your next skiing and snowboarding trip…

For example: there’s a hotel flash sale on right now, where you can save 40% on hotel rooms for a limited time- so bed and breakfast from just $120 per person per night twin share.

3.  Book early and bundle up – save up to 20%

Great value discounts are also available all season long, as long as you book your lift passes online at least seven days in advance. So if you see snow in the forecast… get in as early as you can to nab the best prices.

You can save even more by bundling your lift passes, rentals, Leisure Centre access
and Alpine Coaster rides together. When purchasing at the same time as your lift pass, you’ll save up to 20% on your rental packages when purchasing at the same time as your lift pass. Laps on the brand-new, 1.5km-long Alpine Coaster come down to just $15 each, and adding Leisure Centre access will set you back $7. Après waterslide, here we come!

If you’re bringing along loved ones that don’t plan to ski, even they can save up to 29% when they bundle the Winter Adventure Pass. It includes access to the Alpine Coaster, scenic access on the Merritts Gondola and a trip to enjoy Thredbo Leisure Centre‘s pool, gym & facilities.

4. Make the most of free events

Whether you’re visiting with the family or a big group of friends, Thredbo’s massive winter calendar offers a huge range of free events for everyone to enjoy.

This includes the iconic, weekly Saturday night Flare Run and Fireworks show, plus the Thursday night flare run, where the entire family can enjoy skiing and snowboarding with their own LED flares on Friday flat.

There’s also the next-level activity calendar for the Kids Snow Festivals throughout school holidays, featuring Lindt Chocolate s’more making, kids live concerts, face painting and family fun nights with music, dancing, games, prizes and Thredboland animal visits.

And if dancing with a drink in hand is more your speed, you’re in luck. Thredbo’s 2024 après lineup features 18 headline music acts including Bag Raiders, Client Liaison (DJ set), The Jungle Giants (DJ set), KLP, Peking Duk (DJ set), Poof Doof Ski Club, Sneaky Sound System, The Knocks (USA), Stace Cadet and more – and all ten of these Alpine Bar après events are free this winter.
