Vail Resorts amend Perisher, Falls and Hotham ticket sale process

Vail Resorts announced operational changes for 2020 last week with reduced operational capacity and unlimited skiing for Epic Australia Pass holders from July 13. The company also announced multi day passes only and all skiers and boarders to reserve their days online. You’ll find all the information here.

Today, they have updated the sale dates and also announced ticket sales will be done in stages to “improve the purchase experience”, no doubt in an effort not to repeat the Thredbo ticket meltdown last week.

Epic Australia Passes holders will still need to book in their dates of choice for the time frame June 24 to July 13. They can do this on June 23. After July 13, or as soon as the resorts are able to open adequate terrain and lifts, pass holders have regular access without the need for a reservation at Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham.

All non pass holders will be required to purchase tickets online before arrival. Tickets are now going on sale at different times this week in a “first stage” release. Prices have not been revealed as yet.

These lift ticket sales will not impact the ability of pass holders to make reservations for the same early season time period. While reservations will be limited, and are not guaranteed, season pass holders will have access to a separate reservations pool in an effort to provide priority early season access.

Perisher first stage sale dates

In the first Perisher stage, 3 + day consecutive lift tickets for June 24 to July 19 only will be offered. These will be available online for purchase from 8.30am on Tuesday, June 16. Snowsports School Lessons will also be available for purchase from 8:30am Tuesday 16 June for the period 24 June to 19 July only.

Skitube will be operating at reduced capacity and an amended timetable. Skiers and boarders must purchase their Skitube tickets online and in advance.

Falls Creek first stage sale date

Falls Creek tickets will also go on sale at 1.30pm on Monday, June 15 for 3+ day consecutive lift tickets for the period June 24 to July 19 only. One and two day lift ticket purchases will become available at a later date to be advised.

Hotham first stage sale date

Hotham tickets, lessons and rentals will go on sale at 8.30am on Monday, June 15 for 3+ day consecutive lift tickets for the period June 24 to July 19 only.

Watch this space, it will no doubt be another interesting week. Mt Buller is up next to reveal their ticket purchase process and pricing.

All Vail Resorts ticket pricing will be revealed tomorrow when tickets go on sale at Hotham. Vail Resorts will also provide further information by June 17 on the next stage of sales.
