Bets were on across social media this week as to when Perisher would pull the pin on the Australian ski season for 2023.
We can now tell you that the last resort standing has today announced they’ll be stopping the lifts on Monday, September 25 which will be their last official day of operation.
That’s 103 days of skiing and snowboarding for Perisher this season, despite low snowfalls, high temperatures, rain and wind.
Lift ticket, lesson and rental purchases will be proactively refunded via email from the Perisher customer service team.
All Australian ski resorts have closed mostly two weeks earlier than expected. Perisher’s official closing day was to be the October long weekend but the October 3 date has been brought forward after record September temperatures this week melted the little that was left.
Asta la vista, 2023 Aussie ski season. Time to look north.
