There’s been a lot of talk about lift pass prices in Australia this season and the cost-prohibitive nature of growing the sport for beginners.
Perisher in New South Wales has clearly read the room and have launched an all-inclusive budget friendly beginner package for Blue Cow this season in a bid to help make skiing more accessible for first timers.
The Blue Cow Snow Start Bundle (from AUD$299) includes Skitube access, lift ticket, rental equipment and a two hour introductory lesson exclusive for first timers on weekends only. That’s close to $500 worth of products.
“Blue Cow is the perfect destination for beginner skiers and snowboarders. Its vast space, beginner friendly lifts, and ease of access is everything a first-time skier or snowboarder would want” said Andrew Rae, Perisher Snowsports School Senior Manager.
“Additionally, the all-inclusive package makes the Blue Cow Snow Start Bundle one of the most affordable beginner offerings for anyone wanting to experience the slopes for the first time.”
The Blue Cow Snow Start Bundle includes train access to Perisher’s Blue Cow resort area via Perisher’s Skitube, Australia’s only alpine railway.
The package also features rental equipment, including skis or snowboards, boots, and helmets, and a two-hour introductory lesson with experienced instructors, available at 9:00 am or 11:00 am. The lesson will comprehensively cover the basics of skiing or snowboarding, helping beginners find their balance and get comfortable on beginner lifts.
After the lesson, participants are encouraged to explore more of Blue Cow’s beginner-friendly terrain or relax at the terminal’s cafes and outdoor entertainment venue, which features live music most weekends.
Detailed itineraries will be included in the bundle to ensure a smooth experience for Perisher’s first timers, guiding guests from collection the Mountain Access Card to navigating the Skitube journey and beyond.
Available to book until 15 September 2024, weather permitting.
