Big mountain skiing legend Chris Davenport is visiting both Mt Buller and Thredbo resorts to promote the launch of POW (Protect Our Winters) in Australia next week.

Davenport, otherwise known as ‘Dav’, is a two time world extreme skiing champion, ski mountaineer, author, film maker and keynote speaker. He’s best known as the first person to climb and ski all 54 of Colorado’s 14 000 foot peaks in one year and is one of the key names behind Protect Our Winters climate advocacy group for the winter sports community.

Aussie skiers and boarders will have the opportunity to meet Dav at Mt Buller and ski with him in Thredbo next week when he will be speaking on POW and his life in the mountains in partnership with the launch of POW in Australia.

Protect Our Winters is a passionate crew of diehards, professional athletes and industry brands mobilizing the outdoor sports community to lead the charge towards positive climate action.

Founded by pro snowboarder, Jeremy Jones, Australia will now have it’s own branch at Mt Buller thanks to a group of passionate Buller locals. The Australian community will be joining a global network of 130 000 supporters engaging with over 60 million snowsports enthusiasts.
