Kim Kardashian launches SKIMS ski wear with The North Face

The North Face SKIMS colab.

It was inevitable, really. Kim Kardashian loves to ski, she’s been spotted in Aspen in Colorado, Big Sky in Montana and Mammoth Mountain in California, to name a few.

She’s even been ski critiqued by our very own Sam Robertson at Ski HQ (see video here).

So it was only a matter of snow time before she took her famous SKIMS underwear, loungewear and shape wear brand to the slopes.

Kim, ‘cos we all look this good in our base layers in the wind and sleet in the car park.

Cue The North Face who have already co-labbed with the likes of Miu Miu and Gucci (as reviewed on our site by the hilarious Fashion Critical).

The limited edition The North Face X SKIMS range will drop on December 10 and was announced this week while we were all sleeping in a heat wave down under.

The four colour styles of the collection with SKIMS and The North Face – where can we get those ski boots? asking for a friend.

“This marks SKIMS’s first-ever foray into the world of winter wear and partnering with The North Face allowed us to leverage their expertise in this category. The collection is a combination of functional and flattering apparel solutions for the season,” Kim Kardashian said in a statement.

“I’ve spent a lot of time on the slopes, so I was definitely inspired when we were developing this collection and I can’t wait to wear these pieces on my next trip.”

Neither can we, Kim, neither can we.

The North Face iconic Nuptse Jacket re-worked with SKIMS.

Before you worry you (or Kim) will be skiing or snowboarding in just underwear, take comfort that the lineup also features a down jacket and a down onesie, a fleece jacket, waterproof shell pants, beanies, gloves and insulated mules (for when you’re back in the lodge).

There’s the obligatory Lycra bodysuit and base layers all wrapped up with new tech fabric including DotKnit, a double knit performance fabric that pulls moisture away from the body.

Lycra Adaptiv is a new The North Face product being launched with Skims and features an adaptive stretch and compression so you can retain a shapely silhouette.

The Refina Bodysuit, perfect for wrestling a sack of potatoes into a wetsuit in the car park.

Product sizes range from XXS to 3X, s-l and foot size 5 to 11. You’ll need between USD$60 and USD$1200 per item should you be one of the first to get your mitts on the range.

The 12 style launch comes in four colour ways – ochre, Sienna, cocoa and onyx. Très 2025 as Pantone have announced their colour of the year to be Mocha Mousse.

The SKIMS brand was launched on skin colour inclusivity and body diversity, hence the lush colour swatches.

Have to say, we think this is quite the stylish co-lab. Very demure, very mindful. We’re here for it.
