As we head closer to Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, the 2024/2025 FIS World Cup season has become crucial for athletes wishing to make their mark.

This season’s FIS Freestyle Moguls World Cup competition calendar features 10 moguls competitions and nine dual moguls competitions with events in Europe, Asia and North America. Then, come March, the 2025 World Championships will also be held in Engadin, Switzerland at St Moritz.

Ruka, Finland traditionally kicks off the season and Australia’s mogul ski team is ready to click in on course this weekend where Aussie mogul skier, and PyeongChang 2018 Silver Medallist, Matt Graham will be embarking on his 100th World Cup Start.

Jakara Anthony and Perrine Laffont

All eyes will also be on Australia’s Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic gold medalist, Jakara Anthony, who is hot off the back of her record breaking 14 World Cup win season where she also took home the singles, duals and overall Crystal Globes.

This season she’ll have the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic moguls champion, double World Cup overall champion and two time World Champion Perrine Laffont (FRA) back on the circuit. Laffont took a year sabbatical to refocus on her goal of World Champion 2025 and Winter Olympic Champion 2026.

26 year-old Perrine boasts 30 World Cup wins, nine Crystal Globes and five World Championship gold medals including double gold in 2023. Not to mention 18 World Cup silvers and six bronze since her first World Cup podium in 2016.

Anthony has the upper hand having claimed dominance in the 2023/2024 season, breaking Hannah Kearney’s record of most wins in a single season and becoming the first woman to claim the moguls hat trick of three Crystal Globes. She’ll be on fire and focused to continue her dominance.

“Jak” is no pushover. With 22 World Cup golds since her first podium in 2019, 12 silvers, 7 bronze, 6 Crystal Globes and a silver at World Championships.

Trust us, this will be a battle to watch this coming season. There’s nothing better than a healthy sporting rivalry for both spectators and competitors.
