Hotham have become the third Victorian ski resort, and fourth Aussie resort to announce early closing after Mt Buller, Mt Baw Baw and Selwyn.

The resort announced today via social media that their last day will be Wednesday, September 4. Over the past month, unseasonably warm temperatures and rain have significantly impacted the conditions.

This is the second season running the resort has closed early, this time 13 days earlier than 2023’s September 17 closing.

The damage to the snowpack and forecast weather over the next week has driven Hotham’s decision.

For those who have purchased resort entry for after the new closing date, the Alpine Resorts of Victoria will reach out via email to process a refund.
