Two new holiday accommodation options are opening in Jindabyne this autumn, in time for the 2023 snow season.
The NRMA Parks and Resorts ‘glamtainers’ will be located at the NRMA Jindabyne Holiday Park and are set to open this month.
Expect two converted shipping containers offering a premium glamping experience with hotel-style luxuries and contemporary interiors.
The seven-metre extendable glamtainers are open-plan with both heating and air-conditioning to suit all seasons. Each is kitted out with a queen bed and bunks for the kids, kitchenette, living area, bathroom and outdoor dining areas.
Built by Melbourne-based company GlamXperience, glamtainers start life as working shipping containers before being converted into spacious, stylish accommodation.
NRMA Parks and Resorts Chief Executive Officer Paul Davies said the glamtainers had proved to be a hit with guests who were keen for more comfort on their holidays, while enjoying all the freedom and fresh air of the outdoors.
“We’re thrilled to see the glamtainers be so popular with our guests and having this higher-end option at both the beach and the snow means guests can enjoy luxury in the outdoors year-round,” Mr Davies said.
“Glamtainers promise a fun and relaxing holiday for everyone, and the extra hotel-style comforts mean it’s easy to linger longer on that well-earned getaway,” he said.
Two glamtainers have been onsite at NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort on the NSW Central Coast since September 2020 and have been solidly booked since coming online. This resort will also see a new glamtainer installed in early May to keep up with demand.
