It is bad enough that the Australian ski season opening long weekend clashes with the official start to summer in the Vail Valley and the GoPro Mountain Games in the hills. I mean, what’s a wannabe mountain girl to do? Hike or ski? Oh ok, apres it is then.
But now we find out that the games have not one, not two, not three but four extreme categories just for dogs. We are officially beside ourselves.
Fido, Buster and their canine pals can flex their dog pecs in the Extreme Vertical, Speed Retrieve, Big Air and Rocky Dog Trail Run while the humans are rafting, running, SUP’ing, slacklining and generally pumping serious adrenal cortisol into their veins.
What pooch lover can resist a high jumping, super swimming, leaping dawg of celebrity proportions with an audience cheering them on? Not this one.
