Good news for Queensland skiers and snowboarders as Delta Air Lines will launch three weekly flights from Brisbane to Los Angeles commencing from December 4 this year.
In a move that will build on the airline’s largest-ever northern winter schedule from the South Pacific to North America, flights will operate thrice weekly until March 28, 2025.
Delta will now serve two cities in Australia, Brisbane and Sydney.
“With this addition of Brisbane, Delta’s upcoming winter schedule will offer our customers up to 17 weekly flights between the U.S. and Australia,” said Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning.
“This marks our most extensive schedule to the South Pacific to date, and as we build our presence in the region, we know our customers will enjoy the enhanced experience consistently provided by Delta.”
Delta’s LAX-to-Brisbane route is the latest in a series of investments the airline – already the leading global carrier at Los Angeles International Airport – is making in the South Pacific region.
In northern winter 2022, Delta introduced a second frequency from LAX to Sydney, and just recently enhanced those flights to daily, providing customers access to Sydney via 14 flights per week.
The airline also launched daily service from LAX to Auckland, New Zealand, in October 2023.
