The Ikon Pass just went next level with the famed Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley in France added to the stable alongside America’s sweetheart, Sun Valley in Idaho and the lush Snowbasin in Utah.
But wait, there’s more.
Two new pass options have also launched with two and three day Ikon Session Passes for the 2022/2023 season. The Ikon Session Pass offers access to 37 destinations with select blackout dates and benefits. Prices start at US$249.
The Ikon Pass goes on sale on March 10 with access to 50 global mountain destinations in 10 countries across the Americas, Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand including Thredbo, Mt Buller, Coronet Peak, the Remarkables and Mt Hutt.
With the new partner additions for 22/23, Ikon Pass now offers the most access to Utah with six destinations within 100 miles of each other, plus increased access in the Pacific and Northwest with five destinations, and now four premier destinations in the European Alps.

Ikon Pass holders will have access to seven days at Sun Valley with no blackout dates, and Ikon Base Pass holders will have access to five days, with select blackout dates, with the upgrade to the Ikon Base Plus Pass.
Ikon Pass holders will also have access to seven days at Snowbasin with no blackout dates, and Ikon Base Pass holders will again have access to five days, with select blackout dates with the upgrade to the Ikon Base Plus Pass.
Sun Valley and Snowbasin are not available on the Ikon Session Pass.
Also new is Spot Insurance, Ikon Pass holders can now purchase additional injury coverage with Spot Insurance to cover eligible medical expenses for injuries that arise while using their pass, offering additional peace of mind.
For winter 22/23, certain destinations have been added to the Ikon Base Plus Pass.
For an additional $200 from the Ikon Base Pass, Ikon Base Plus Pass holders will get five-day access at each: Aspen Snowmass, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, Sun Valley, Snowbasin, and Alta-Snowbird (combined).
Aspen Snowmass, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, Sun Valley, Snowbasin, and Alta are not available on the Ikon Base Pass. Snowbird will have five days on the Ikon Base Pass, blackouts apply, see below for more details.
Members of the Ikon Pass community can also unlock untouched powder and corduroy before the lifts open one designated morning per month in January, February and March 2023 at participating destinations during the 22/23 winter season. Ikon Pass First Tracks applies to the 22/23 Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, Ikon Base Plus Pass and Ikon Session Pass based on pass access.
