The Victoria State Premier, Dan Andrews, declared a State of Disaster today with Melbourne entering COVID-19 Stage 4 restrictions including an 8pm to 5am curfew starting tonight.
Regional Victoria will also be restricted with Stage 3 limits coming into play from 11.59pm on Wednesday night.
After then, there will only be four reasons to leave home in Regional Victoria – shopping for food and essential items, care and caregiving, daily exercise and work and study – if you can’t do it from home.
Businesses in regional Victoria will also return to Stage 3 restrictions. This means restaurants and cafes can only offer delivery and takeaway. Beauty and personal services will need to close. Entertainment and cultural venues will need to close and community sport will need to stop.
Regional schools will return to remote and flexible learning – across all year levels and across the state. Onsite supervision will again be made available for students who need it, including children whose parents are permitted workers and vulnerable kids who can’t learn from home. These changes will be in place for at least the next six weeks.
Buller Ski Lifts can confirm its operations are scheduled to continue as usual until Wednesday 5 August when Stage 3 COVID-19 restrictions are implemented in regional Victoria.
This operating plan will be reviewed when further information is provided by the State Government about permitted business operations in regional Victoria. This advice is anticipated to be announced on Monday 3 August.
All staff and guests are reminded to follow all health directives in place in resort, practice stringent sanitisation and physical distancing for the safety of all.
Face coverings must also be worn outside from 11.59pm tonight.
