The supplier to the Australian Winter Olympic Team, XTM Performance, has become a Certified B Corporation. The creme de la creme of sustainable recognition.

Companies committed to social and environmental responsibility must score a minimum of 80 points on the B Corporation list in order to get over the line.

The process to attain the certification is huge as it requires many changes within a company including active sustainable goals. XTM Performance completed their assessment with a score of 107.8

Founder of XTM Performance, Pete Forras explains, ‘This has been a huge team effort and a culmination of over 20 years of sustainable goals and actions. Achieving B Corp certification underscores our ongoing commitment to make a positive impact on both people and the planet’.

It helps that XTM Performance has been 100% Carbon Neutral since 2009. Add their Heat the Homeless initiative for social responsibility; a Reconciliation Action Plan guided by Marsha Uppil, a proud Adnyamathanha woman and their eco-friendly and ethically sourced materials like Woolmark® certified Australian Merino wool, TENCELTM and recycled fabrics.

The company’s Sustainable Packaging Strategy delivers goods in packaging that is completely biodegradable, compostable, reusable, or recyclable and their headquarters in Torquay are entirely self-sufficient.

XTM had independent audits done of all their suppliers to ensure no child labour and that all workers’ rights are consistently protected and upheld.

The priorities for XTM Performance for 2024 including further implementation of their Sustainable Packaging Strategy, finalising their Reconciliation Action Plan, and working towards their 2040 goal of Net Zero emissions.
