The Australian Olympic Committee has revealed this afternoon that a member of the Australian Olympic Team for the Beijing games has received a positive PCR test on arrival in Beijing.
Athletes are required to take PCR tests at Beijing International Airport ahead of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
The Team member is now isolating while awaiting a second test. The AOC is respecting the privacy of the individual.
The AOC said in a statement today that “An update will be provided once further testing has been conducted and the situation becomes clearer, with the ongoing process determined by the outcome of the testing.”
