Start training now to fight it out in the middle aisle as ALDI just dropped their 2024 snow range with 70 items up for grabs on May 18.
According to the folks at ALDI you can fit out a family of four for under $750 with items starting from $4.99 and nothing over $100 including all outerwear, gloves, goggles, helmets, thermoboots and kids knitted accessories.
Of course you’re not going to get the full tech kit and caboodle and snow specific quality that premium dedicated snow brands offer with more expensive outerwear, brands that purely focus on all things skiing and snowboarding with years of research and development. But you are going to help keep the cost of a snow trip down, especially for first timers.
You will get some tech, though, with this year’s jackets insulated with Du Pont Sorona® fill and the main outerwear range is 12,000mm waterproof while the premium range is 20,000mm.
In the “premium range” ski jackets sit at $99.99 and ski pants at $79.99, both waterproof to 20,000mm and breathable to 20,000g. As for sustainability? They are made from 100 per cent recycled outer polyester and plastic zips as well as 75 per cent recycled fibre padding.
New this season is an adult’s quarter zip snow hoodie for $49.99 with fully taped seams, external ski pass pocket, side zip ventilation and offered in two tone colour ways with contrasting zip colours for style.
Kids have a cute as a button Toddler Snow Suit for $34.99 and a bunch of unisex outfits in mix and match styles in simple colour blocks. Teens and young adults sizing has also been extended this year to keep up with growing bodies.
Of course there’s also the usual base layers, helmets and goggles for first timers to the snow. Including kids ski gloves or mittens for $11.99 and adults for $14.99. Make of them what you will.
But best of all? There’s even a boot, shoe and glove dryer for $79.99 to keep all those boots, shoes and gloves dry after a long day in Australian and New Zealand snow conditions when any kind of weather can happen.
So, there you have it. Another year another ALDI snow sale. Make of it what you will.
