A metre of snow, Thredbo to open big terrain for first weekend

What a start to the 2022 season thus far with Mt Buller, Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham all now open and resorts across Victoria and New South Wales receiving a metre of snow in the last week with more on the way!

Social feeds have been flooded with mega snow this morning as the snow storms continue. Hotham is claiming 50cms of snow in the last 24 hours and the other resorts are not far behind.

To celebrate the best opening in over 20 years, Thredbo announced today they will be opening a number of trails which will no doubt see some last minute long weekend travellers hit up the resort.

Expect the Supertrail (access from Kosci Express), High Noon, Cruiser Area and Friday Flat to be open for skiing and boarding when the resort opens for 2022 this Sturday.

Skiers and boarders will be able to access both sides of the mountain via the Catwalk and Sundowner.

Thredbo is expecting another 60cms of fresh snow in the next three days.
